Comparison of multiplex, ELISA and immunofluorescence for detecting autoantibodies in JIA patients

چکیده
Purpose Detection of antinuclear antibodies has traditionally been performed by immunofluorescence (IFA) on fixed culture cells or tissues with reactivity being reported as a fluorescence pattern associated to one or more nuclear antigens. For this study, we compared results from IFA testing with a multiplex antinuclear antibody assay on a panel of patient serum samples previously evaluated by 3 commercial ANA ELISAs.

Immunofluorescence Pattern of Autoimmune Bullous Diseases in Iranian Patients
Background & Objective: Autoimmune bullous diseases are associated with autoimmunity against structural components in the skin and mucous membranes. Autoantibodies are against the intercellular junctions in pemphigus disease and hemidesmosomal unchoring complex in pemphigiod diseases and epidermolysis bullosa aquisita. The tissue-bound and circulating serum autoantibodies can be detect...
متن کاملDevelopment of an ELISA Based Method for the Detection of Pemphigus vulgaris Autoantibodies
For the evaluation of autoantibodies in Pemphigus vulgaris (PV), an indirect ELISA assay was developed by using a semi-purified human epidermal skin extracted with approximately a molecular weight (M.W.) of 130-160 kDa. The evaluation of Pemphigus IgG, IgM and IgA autoantibodies in 75 patients and 50 control sera indicated that this indirect ELISA assay was a useful method for the detection of ...
متن کاملComparison of Serum Autoantibodies to Desmogleins I, III in Patients with Oral Lichen Planus and Healthy Controls
Background & Objective: Lichen planus is a mucocutaneous disease which is relatively common and in 30-70% of patients, mucosal lesions can be seen and known as a precancerous lesion but its etiology is not completely understood. Desmogleins I and III are the main desmosomal transmembrane proteins. These proteins have been identified as the autoantigen of the autoimmune disease. The aim...

Background and Aim: Pemphigus vulgaris (PV) is the most common bullous autoimmune disease, which can cause mortality and morbidity in the patients who suffer from it. Researches to find reliable noninvasive laboratory tests to diagnose and monitor PV patients are being conducted. The aim of this study is to find the sensitivity of serum and salivary anti-DSG1 and anti-DSG3 antibodies in the diag...
